  1. Sara, would love to have the written script for the sliding filament theory video. Would you mind sharing it with me via e-mail?

Many thanks for your great works!

  2. gururajananda: Originally, videos on YT could be any lgneth. Late in March 2006, in order to keep people from posting entire TV shows and such, YT capped the maximum lgneth to 10 minutes. At the same time, they announced the Director program ( Premium Content Program ), which was, I think, intended to be what the partner program is today. For some reason, the program part never materialised, so in the end being a Director meant nothing but being able to post longer videos. Still, you were required you to disclose your actual name and address, and at least some kind of review process took place before you were approved. Of course, the Director icon soon became a status symbol; lots of people applied and most got their wish granted after all, it was meaningless apart from being able to post longer videos. Once many people were Directors, evidently some were bound to abuse that privilege; this is why some time this spring (I believe) YT abolished it today, Director accounts are like any other type of account. You need a Director account approved before a certain date to post longer videos. There is also a form somewhere to apply for posting longer videos, I think. There was a blog post about this some months ago, but it was retracted within a few days (I wonder why). – – Now I’ll go and do something on-topic for a change, like watch that monster movie.
